...and historically charming! An oasis in the desert with gentle rains over the patio garden, sipping columbian coffee taking in the decor of a time gone by. The shade of the pine and the lush green vines made me feel transported to a nurtured haven for rest. The "quilt room" was stocked with water, coffee, tea, sodas, finger snacks, and southwest original paintings, an old wooden blanket chest... I wrapped in a white robe and nested! Thank you Pati- breakfast was scrumptious! True hospitality ! The Lord Reminded me : " I am the vine- you are the branches... Without me there is no fruit! "He has gifted you with hospitality!

It was nine years since we last stayed at the El Presidio. It was perfection then and perfection now. Patti Tucci is a wonderful host and this bed and breakfast is at the top of our list whenever we visit Tucson. Absolutely the best food, accommodations and bed we ever slept in.

Room Tip: Victoria Room had an deep old fashioned tub that is perfect for soaking.

Our recent stay at El Presidio can be summed up in one word: perfect! It's hard to imagine a more welcoming and gracious hostess than Patti. Once we stepped into the courtyard of this lovely inn we were transported to a secluded and relaxing paradise. Our only regret was that we were unable to stay longer. The fountain! The hummingbirds! Just marvelous. And Patti topped herself the following morning with a breakfast so delicious that it defies description. We have stayed at B & B's for many years, and El Presidio is one of the best experiences we have ever had.

Coming from England we are used to cold, rainy weather, so the heat of south Arizona was a nice surprise. However, sometimes it did seem too hot! It was lovely to be able to return to El Presidio Inn and relax in the beautiful flowery courtyard with its shady corners and tinkling fountain. The ceiling fan and air conditioning in the bedroom ensured we were able to sleep well at night. Patti was the perfect hostess. She advised us on restaurants to eat and sights to see. She made sure we always took bottles of water, which she provided, so we didn't get dehydrated. Her breakfasts were geared to our individual taste and were very good.We ate them in the charming breakfast room overlooking the courtyard. I would thoroughly recommend this B and B to anyone who, like us, appreciates the personal touch and a relaxing base.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Victorian room in the main house.

We spent four nights at El Presidio and were very pleased all the way around. The location was convenient to restaurants and downtown sites. Our rooms were cute and comfortable; the courtyard and gardens were a great place to sit and read or relax. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully served. Patty is a charming and accommodating hostess. Thank you Patty, we will be back!

Shangri-La is a fictional place from the 1933 novel Lost Horizon and it fits El Presidio perfectly. It is an earthly paradise surrounded by mountains, a happy place, isolated from the outside world with a beautiful garden, and a lovely water fountain. You can sit and relax there after a long day of sightseeing. The owner Patti, is a wonderful hostess, and the accommodations are excellent. The Breakfasts are out of this world delicious. Bravo Patti!

We recently had the pleasure of spending a week in the Tucson area, and were delighted to have been led to El Presidio, without doubt the loveliest B&B where we've ever stayed. The charm of the place lies not only in its beautiful inner courtyard garden, or the comfortable and tastefully appointed rooms, or even the delicious breakfasts - never two the same over a 7 day period -, but mainly in the attentiveness and genuine warmth of Patti Toci, the inn's owner/manager. She has the gift of really making a guest feel at home, and there were many little extras - water, juice, and sodas in the fridge, trail and nut mixes in our kitchenette - that really made us feel welcome. Patti is also very knowledgeable about the city and the many attractions in the Tucson area, and provided excellent advice - as well as books - about making the best use of our limited time to visit as many sites as possible. We can't wait to go back!!
