If you like modern sleek hotels, you'll hate this one. Its old and the decor in the rooms is really dated, the free wireless internet is shaky ( but wired is fine). However, its prettyu well maintained and clean and beds are comfy. I stayed in the "Herbert Hoover Suite" which I was told was a "jacuzzi suite". Turns out the jacuzzi was in the rather small bedroom, it seemed odd and for an overtired business traveler it was not tempting, but for more relaxed people ready to go with the flow this whole place is fun. It has a courtyard and pool outside tables where you can eat your free breakfast in the sunshine. The whole place has a friendly feel and I enjoyed staying there. The facilities are just ok, but overall I'd say this place is well worth a try.

Located on a main road in Tucson. Easy to drive to. Good news is the road is not so busy that road noise is a problem. Neighborhood felt safe.

North Oracle Road has some decent restaurants within an easy drive of the hotel, as well as a sports bar that is within walking distance. There is a Swensen's ice cream shop/restaurant in a shopping plaza across the road and just north of the hotel that was excellent for diner-type food. Never personally went to the sports bar, but other guests commented it was very good.

Rooms were well maintained. Tile work in bathroom was clean and in very good shape. Beds very comfortable and felt new. Room smelled fresh. There was a small but handy little closet adjacent to the sink area. Room was equipped with a half refrigerator and a small microwave. Both worked well. No elevator, so if your on the 2nd floor, you will deal with stairs. Housekeeping did a very good job every day. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The pool area is very nice, the complimentary happy hour was enjoyable and the service good (wine, beer and soft drinks only - if you want liquor, they sell drinks). Maintenance and service staff are around the pool area regularly, keeping it clean and functioning well.

The included breakfast is tremendous, buffet style, included cereals, milk, juices, coffee, waffles, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, grapefruit, yogurt, etc.

A minor beef, they have wireless internet, but in our room it was very slow with a weak signal.

Got a nice price via internet. I would stay here again if in Tucson.

We stayed at this hotel 3 yrs ago and decided to stay there again for this trip. It was nice, quiet, clean. Good location for the areas in Tucson we were visiting. Our room was a little tight for 2 adults 2 kids. Decent breakfast and went to the social happy hour (2 free drinks) one time. Mostly retirees there.

Everything was pleasant from the very beginning. They went the extra mile to make our trip perfect. All the exercise equipment, pool, conference room, and suites were great.

My Wife and I stayed nights of February 5, 6, 7 of 2009. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, courtyard was wonderful in the early morning with thousands of birds, the breakfast was complete and good. The staff was as helpful as possible.

The location was good. It is a little out of downtown, but in easy driving distance of the venues of the Arizona Gem and Mineral Exhibition. At the moment, I-10 is being widened through town and about five miles of ramps on and off are blocked. This will continue through 2009 and into 2010. This is no problem for this motel.

The shower head was a little bizarre, but workable.

We highly recommend this motel.

We are staying in the Presidential Suite here and have been for 3+ weeks and will be here for another week probably. We have also stayed here several times in the past. This is a decent budget hotel. I have stayed in different types of rooms here and they have a good layout. The hotel is nothing special from the outside, but for the price, it is a decent place. The pool is nice and they have a free happy hour every afternoon. The free breakfast is not very good, but ok if you just want some cereal or toast. It has a good location and is close to lots of shopping and dining. It is great for families. My only real complaint with this place is that the housekeeping is so inconsistant. Some days they do a great job but most days they don't. For example, they don't vacuum daily, they don't leave enough towels or even a single dish towel. The problem seems to be that it is a different person everyday. The management needs to put a checklist in place so that there is consistancy in the housekeeping. I have complained a few times a week about this problem and finally spoke to the manager so we will see if it improves. I still would recommend this place though.

My husband & I stayed here fro a week while we explored the Tucson area. It was not as centrally located as we would have liked as most of the areas we visited were "on the on the other side of town".

We had a wet bar suite with a small microwave, refrigerator, stove and coffee maker. The microwave & frig worked fine. We could not figure out the coffeemaker. The room was fine, nicely decorated & clean. One king bed w/ a sofa & TV.

However we had to ask several times for more shampoo, kleenex and similar amenities.

The hotel offers breakfast; scrambnled eggs, toast, warmed sliced sandwich style ham, salsa, gravy & biscuits, waffles and juices & coffee in the mornings. Not gormet but OK. In the evenings they have a "happy hour" which are drinks & "snacks", The drinks are OK but the snacks were either stale pop corn, potatoe chips etc.

All of the rooms face outside corridors so there can be some noise when people move around. We noticed no noise from other rooms.
