Finally found a good hotel in Tucson after several bad ones. Nice rooms, quiet (even though it's next to the airport), comfortable beds, and a very good (if a little expensive) restaurant. This is now my go-to hotel in Tucson.

We set up a 50th Pilot Ttraing Class Reunion at this hotel and were beautifullly guided through all arrangements by the hotel's Sales Manager, Renee. She planned excellent buffets and had a hospitality room for our used during the 4 day function. The hotel offered a breakfast buffet that will please all palates. Special group rates were offered to our group. The rooms were comfortable and conveniently arranged.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms on 1st floor, walk out to pool, 2nd floor has small balancies overlooking pool.

I found this hotel to be very good and even better if you can manage a discounted rate, such as Priceline. The rooms are large, with excellent beds. The flat screen tv's are as good as you find in any hotel. Two things keep me from giving it a higher rating. Bath rooms are as small as you will find anywhere and the A/C unit is too loud when it comes on. Did not eat in hotel; however, there good choices in area that are not expensive. The hotel is at entrance to airport, but you get no airplane noise, but there is the A/C which is about the same. It is about a mile from the freeway to the Mexican border (NOGALES) and about 1 hour driving time. I would recommend staying here before driving in to Mexico or returning from. It is a much better value than Nogales hotels and better quality rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool side room with a balcony, as they do not face the parking lots.

This is a great place if you are flying in or out of Tucson airport. It is only 5 minutes away by foot, and the hotel shuttle is available on demand, for the 2 minute ride. They also have a decent restaurant if you don't have a rental car and want a meal. Can save rental car expenses by using the hotel shuttle(on demand) and starting or ending your car rental when you really need to have a car. Rooms are very comfortable and staff very helpful. We arrived early for check-in and they stored our backs in a secure closet while we went to the airport to return our rental car.

Room Tip: Even though it is very close to the airport, we had no significant problem with airport noise. Of course, windows were closed and air conditioner was on.

We stayed here 3 nights after 2 nights at the Starr Pass Resort. It wasn't as big or in the desert, but it had a lovely, relaxing feel to it. As Gold SPG members, we were upgraded to a 3rd floor courtyard w/ balcony room. Also got a choice of 2 free drinks at the bar or 250 points as a Gold member and we chose the points. The courtyard had beautiful landscaping, palm trees and a pool. The room was clean. The manager who checked us in was very friendly. The room came with a fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker, which we appreciated after buying a few things at a grocery store (closest one about 3 miles up the road). We ate a free breakfast (which came with one paid night) at the restaurant and they had a very good buffet. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very warm and inviting. The hotel is the last one on Tucson Blvd. before entering the airport, but we weren't bothered by plane noise and it was very convenient not having to calculate travel time to the airport.
