“Best Hotel Stay ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2011

We spent the weekend at this classic old hotel and had the best experience that I can ever remember. We travel a great deal and have enjoyed many hotels all over the world and this one ranks number one in our minds. Everything is done to perfection. When my travels bring me back to Tucson, it will be the only place that I will stay. It was so refreshing to find the level of service that the Arizona Inn brings to it's customers.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a one bedroom in the rear of the property near the pool with its own private ent...

The Arizona Inn is a lovely place to stay. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Our room felt a little dated, but we really enjoyed the outdoor seating and amenities. We tried tohave a before dinner drink and watch the sunset, but the wait staff was so busy taking care of a wedding party that we were essentially ignored and left in frustration. They were quite understanding when we cancelled one da of our reservation and charged no cancellation fee. This may be silly, but I did not like having a full length mirror in front of the toilet. It is not the most flattering picture a guest wants to see. On a more positive note, the grounds are quite beautiful and there is a lovely pool area and tennis court.

We had an amazing time at the Arizona Inn this past month. In town for a wedding and family visit, we were graciously put up in the Inn for 3 nights. What a treat! Beautiful property, excellent service and comfortable accommodations. Nothing to complain about here!

Each morning the hotel puts out delicious coffee and doughnuts (on weekdays) in the elegant library. A different newspaper is delivered to your door daily...and you can curl up on your own private patio chairs while sipping the complimentary coffee.

The pool was quiet and serene...a great place for a breakfast of huevos rancheros and a mimosa!

After 9 days of driving around Arizona we were looking forward to 5 days of completely doing nothing at the Arizona Inn. We were delighted with the hotel. We had a suite, which meant that we had a lovely sunny terrace to relax in, as well as the other spots in the hotel. This includes the pool area, library for coffee or the bar area. The staff were extremely well trained and the service was excellent. We had a bed and breakfast package which was good value. The hotel is extremely well cared for, with lovely gardens. It is designed to allow a visitor to stay there and just chill out. And best of all it is extremely relaxed and laid it back. Perfect spot for complete relaxation.

Room Tip: Room 133 was an excellent suite with its own terrace. However there is some road noise.

This hotel is more of a little oasis than a hotel in the middle of Tucson, trees, great flowers, ping pong in the garden, huge pool, mexican tiles, colorful fountains...impressive history and the preferred hotel of movie stars in the 30 and 40s filming western movies at the Tucson studios. The magenta colored prickly pear margaritas are highly recommended as is the afternoon tea. The Sunday brunch in the main dining room is wonderful. Small meals are served in the Audubon bar, the Vichysoisse served on ice is creamy and refreshing. Great place, a wonderful get awy for Tucsonians and guests alike.

This is a charming property that has been updated over the years but still maintains the old southwest charm of a historic Arizona inn.

The packages to be able to enjoy meals is well worth it.
