“Tucson Treasure =)”

What a wonderful stay I had at the Catalina Park Inn. The historical home (oodles of charm and perfectly decorated), enchanted surroundings (beautifully landscaped gardens in a quiet neighborhood), and easy accessibility to downtown (quirky 4th Street and trendy restaurant filled Congress) made the Inn an ideal base for several days in Tucson. Above all, the owners and hosts, Mark and Paul, made the visit simply....OUTSTANDING. They were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, easy going, interesting and non-intrusive, everything you could wish for - absolutely perfect. The morning meals were scrumptious - a classy Southwest breakfast burrito, croissant French toast with prickly pear syrup and all of the fixings, a omelet with the most delicious homemade bread I've ever eaten (Mark is superb with culinary skills!). Home made blueberry scones, hearty oatmeal cookies, and nutty coffee cakes as well. The home is gorgeous. I loved hearing about its history (1927, used in a movie - which they have on DVD - several shots also from the neighborhood and with other homes on the block) and enjoyed the warmth and comfort that the owners have adorned the home with - charming. Please don't change a thing - I loved the slightly squeaky iron gate, the bubbling fountain, the soft music, the distant train horns - everything. I look forward to visiting Tucson again and will definitely make the Catalina Park Inn my home away from home on that visit as well.

Love, love this BNB. We stay at BNBs routinely and this was an excellent choice. The house is less than one mile from downtown area where we had some amazing meals. I chose it based on its proximity to the start for the Tour de Tucson ride and it was perfect for location. The breakfasts are amazing. Hot teas, coffee, fresh orange juice and fresh baked pastry or bread followed by a well prepared, great presentation breakfast entre. Mark and Paul are welcoming and very thoughtful hosts. They have been doing this for many years and hosting is so natural for them. The best compliment I can offer is I have already booked a room for next years tour de Tucson. Also there was a gentleman who has booked there for the last 15 years for the tour. Cant wait to come back and sip wine on their beautiful grounds.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 1 which is separate from the house. (as is room 2)

We really enjoyed our 2 nights at the Catalina Park Inn. The room was well-appointed; wifi was reliable; the breakfasts were fabulous; the location was perfect for us - we easily walked to campus and downtown; and Paul & Mark were great - thoughtful hosts & very fun to talk to. We will stay again when we visit Tucson.

Spent weekend at Catalina Park Inn in Tucson, AZ in November 2013. Paul and Mark were the perfect hosts. The rooms are very large and comfortable. The Inn is within walking to the university's campus and local restaurants. The breakfasts were wonderful. Cookies and treats welcomed guests every day. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Two of the rooms upstairs have a balcony that you can relax on.

It is so easy to see why Mark and Paul have had so much success with their beautiful Tucson B&B. They are such wonderful hosts and keep the house and grounds in such perfect condition, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Breakfasts are indeed the highlight of any visit, with unique and imaginative meals prepared fresh to order every morning. If you like a recipe and mention it to them, you will most likely have a personal copy printed out and presented to you before you leave the table. The quality of guests who stay at Catalina Park is so wonderful, it is often hard to tear yourself away from the breakfast table. The conversations are always so enjoyable and the bottomless cups of coffee are delicious. The grounds are such a joy to stroll around and there are so many semi-private seating areas throughout the property, you can always find the perfect spot to relax, read, watch for birds or just stare up into the incredibly blue southern Arizona sky. Of course your hosts have a wealth of knowledge about the city and can tell you everything you need to know about dining and entertainment options as well as help you plan outdoor activities such as hiking and sight seeing. The Inn is within walking distance to a great variety of restaurants, brew pubs, cafes and coffee shops. You cannot go wrong planning a stay with Mark and Paul at Catalina Park Inn.

Loved this spot, where we unfortunately only stayed one night. Would go back for just the breakfast, but that seems a bit excessive. The utter charm of the place, to say nothing of Mark and Paul and the interesting guests who gather around the breakfast table, will bring me back for sure. House was spacious and interesting, open and airy and with a large public space available for guests. Beautifully presented and delicious breakfasts, complimentary (and yummy) iced teas. Even the glasses were gorgeous.
We had the West Room, with it's shady balcony looking over the wonderfully landscaped desert garden. Loved the bathroom, with original tile-work and claw-foot tub. Such a relief to have fans and windows instead of air-conditioning, and The New York Times in place of that awful rag that's usually offered for free, along with the book that sits on the bedside table in most American hotels. Thanks, guys.

We stayed three nights at Catalina Park Inn in the Oak Room and found everything perfect. Our room was spacious, with windows all around, a large and comfortable sitting area, queen bed, large bath with lots of space. There is a place for everything for travelers who bring a lot with them. The owners, Mark and Paul, are real charmers and excellent cooks. We loved the breakfasts, something different and delicious every morning, and lingered as long as we could talking and enjoying their company. We walked to the university, toured museums, and walked back. A tempting plate of cookies was always waiting on the table in the front hall.
