“Great outside seating”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

Great beer and good bar food. The tacos are very good but if they ask if you want sour cream and guacamole on the side if cost 1.50 for each one. Good bar grub as well.

“Best Hamburger”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

The bar/restaurant and hamburgers, particularly The Phoenix, lived up to its recommendation. Although I prefer the ground beef at Trident Grill, the toppings and unique toasted bun/bread at Gentle Ben's makes this my new "go to burger".

“Tucson Brew Pub”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Great bear selections in this local brew pub, just down the street from the entrance to University of Arizona. The happy hour appetizers were perfect and we split a sandwich to go with our beers!

“What a great find!”
Reviewed December 11, 2013

This place is in a great location. We were looking for a local brewery, and out of the three that were close to where we were staying this is the one we chose. We lucked in. With two boys aged 7 & 9, they were able to enjoy a cold sprite, and a Grizzly Bear! Oh my goodness, where else would you find a chocolate brownie with a chocolate chip cookie, ice cream, cream, chocolate and caramel sauce! Amazing! And they managed to share that between them quite well.
We enjoyed the tasting plate of beers available at the brewery with the Beer Sponge pretzels and the Beer battered fries. Just what we needed. The variety of beers was good, seasonal brews impressive. My favourite was the Hefeweizen with the Blonde a close second. Service was really good and accommodating, the atmosphere was just right for a sunny Wednesday afternoon. Made it hard to leave.

“Awesome Beer, Awesome Place!”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Gentle Ben's is hand down one of the best beer places in the state of Arizona. Like many other places in the area, they make their own beer. But unlike other places, the well beer at Gentle Ben's is supremely delicious and well priced. The house micros are the same price as a bud lite - can you believe that!

The servers are extremely friendly, the customers are a group of regulars who are plenty of fun to be around. On top of that, the prices are great (didn't I already say that) and the place is well put together - two levels so it usually isn't too crowded

Being Arizona, the air was pretty hot outside, so I wouldn't recommend outdoor seating anytime in or close to the cummer months unless you can handle 90+ degree temperatures. Beyond that, come check it out if you're in town and looking for a good place to drink.
