Replaced by Dante's . Don't let the outside scare you off, as the food is creative and tasty!
Smaller sized plates, reasonable priced. Although limited menu, what they do do, they do well! Not a miss on the menu.

“What a shame it closed.”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

We were looking forward to returning here once we got back to Tucson for the winter. Read in the paper that it closed (just as the economy is picking up?). Too bad too, because it was a decent place for food that seemed home-cooked. We never felt an overly warm and welcoming vibe, but did enjoy the food.

“Tops in Tucson”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We have found this wonderful foodie place to be a consistently good eat! Well chosen wines at a good price, unique and marvelously made Carribian menu offerings that are savory, generous and balanced in flavor. The restaurant is simple and not grandios, but the place is warm and pleasant.

“Our favorite restaurant!”
Reviewed December 31, 2012 via mobile

For the past few years Rio has been our favorite restaurant -- we appreciate Richard's warm welcome, we like the atmosphere, the service and, of course the food. We have tried most everything -- my lunch favorite is the New World Salad. With any entree the Mexican Street Corn is the best. We have really enjoyed introducing a number of our friends to Rio. We highly recommend it!

“Small, but in a good way”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Great drinks, fair prices, and a fairly typical neighborhood eatery and bar. Not fancy, and with limited seating, the but the real pleasure is in the staff that seem to really care. If you are in the area it is worth a stop.
