“Racist and condescending staff.”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

The tapas is very good but the staff were extremely rude when my friend did not like her drink. The service was slow. The restaurant was empty. We will not return.

“Espana...closer than you think”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

A recent dining experience at Casa Vicente brought back memories of years ago while living in Spain. The tapas were authentic, catering to the tastes and flavors of the most discriminating palettes. The Wine list nothing less than exceptional focusing on the various wine regions of Spain. I might add that the house cocktail made with pomegranite was the perfect start to this most delightful evening, lasting three hours. The desserts were the finishing touch,as one listened to the exceptional classical Spanish guitar and watched the mesmerizing flamenco dancer. Plan on spending your time here and savor all Casa Vicente offers, this is not the place for grabbing a quick bite.

“great tapas!”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

I would agree with a previous reviewer that the paella was pretty bad--pretty dry and the seafood just didn't taste fresh. However, the tapas were top-notch, and after all, this is first and foremost a tapas restaurant. Arrived with a large party of 20 and ordered a large sampling--lamb chops, stewed rabbit, beef tenderloin, etc. Everything was very good--especially enjoyed the lamb. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was warm and cozy.

“Paella without Saffron??”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

This Spanish cuisine restaurant specializes in Paella. Called ahead per their instructions and ordered the Paella Valenciana (mixed e.g. chicken, sausage, seafood) and ordered without mussels. The waitstaff was pleasant upon our arrival and we were seated promptly. The waiter recommended a nice Spanish wine to accompany our paella. When the paella was served we noted it had mussels which we did not want. He came back about 5 minutes later with a paella without mussels. The chicken pieces were totally overcooked. The calamari was overcooked and dry. There was NO saffron at all that we could taste. In short, the paella was the worst we have ever had and it was very expensive ($60.00!). We will never, ever go back to this place.

“WOW!!”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

This place knows about tapas. We shared 4 plates--mahi, sea bass, frittata, and a pork brochette, and a small spinach salad with a delicious balsamic dressing. All items were perfectly prepared and flavorful. The waiter (Cristo) was delightful. Don't judge the warehouse-like exterior! The food is amazing!
