A lovely place to see a show. It has been beautifully restored. We don't mind getting balcony seats as it has its own bar and the sight lines are great. Public parking nearby is easy and inexpensive.

The Fox Theater is one of the few older (and therefore charming) buildings in the architectural wasteland that is Tucson. I attended multiple lectures given at the Fox fall of 2013 and enjoyed seeing the multi-colored frescoes that adorn the ceiling of the theater during that time. I admired the carved wood work, the quaintly squeaking steps that add texture as one ascends to the balcony, and found the upholstered seats comfortable. All seats provide a reasonable view of the stage. A charming venue.

Coming down from Phoenix to see Stephen Stills at this wonderful theatre. Once again it was a treat to be in a real theatre, we only have the Orpheum in Phoenix, which while nice, rarely puts on shows in comparison. The Fox is always a treat and this time was no exception. A point of pride for Tucson no doubt to have such a lovely restored theatre in town.

We attended the In The Mood concert in March and it was our first experience at the Fox. It's a nice program and was reasonably well attended, but the hall was not totally full. As previous reviewers have reported, the seats are very much on the small side and the leg room is limited. This won't be a problem for relatively small people, but if you're six feet or taller try to get an aisle seat!. The staff members helping folks find their seats were outstanding, cheerful, and helpful. The almost indifferent box office staff could take a lesson or two from them. For some reason, the theatre delayed opening the inside doors to the hall, so the small lobby became very full and cramped. This is not a place for claustrophobics when the door openings are delayed. Worth a visit, but, to me, the theatre just wasn't as grand as I was expecting from previous reviews.
