“Great little Place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2012

We've eaten at Cushing Street Bar many times and usually have very good experiences. Last evening was no exception. They were very busy because of the Tucson Convention Center across the street hosting "Mary Poppins" AND the graduation ceremonies for Pima Community College. They handled everyone smoothly and the food and wine were great.
This is kind of a funky little place in an old adobe building on the edge of the old barrio. Lots of Victorian era antiques inside. Tables in the bar, on the patio and in the back dining room. The bartenders and servers seem to come and go (lots of UA students), but the service and food quality stay pretty consistent.
We have returned often and will continue to do so.

“I want to like this place more than I do”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2012

It's such a cozy space, great atmosphere, good service. But the menu always leaves me wanting more. Very little ever jumps out at me as something I must have. The food is okay; not bad, but not great. Definitely would recommend as a good place for drinks before something at TCC.

“Classic Tucson dining spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2012

My husband and I went to Cushing Bar and Grill on February 29, 2012. What a fabulous find.
Wonderful wine list (Tuesday and Thursday are half off bottles of wine), and food with a gourmet touch. Menu is a mix of traditional food with just a touch of Mexican spice. Servings are on the generous side. While we didn't have desert, they looked scrumptious, especially the carrot cake. Service is prompt and very good, our waiter Waldo was excellent. The decor is what I would call "Tucson antique", the solid wood bar is a beautiful piece of wood, and the old upright piano in the dining room is lovely. Strongly recommend Cushing Bar and Grill, if you are looking for a fine restaurant in Tucson and a good value.
