While not a strictly vegan restaurant they offer lovely and highly original vegan options along with animal based foods that have been raised healthfully. Friendly staff and elegant space. I loved the mung bean soup!

I've always loved this building which was for sale for many years. Located off 4th Avenue which includes the Food Conspiracy Coop, Antigone Books (another fav) numerous coffee houses, eateries and bars near the University of Arizona. Food for Ascension Café just west of Hippie Gypsy, is lovely. The décor is relaxing and welcoming. I knew the server from the 7 Cups Tea House. She's exceptional. I ordered the "root and seeds burger". It came with a tangy BBQ sauce and a delicious creamy sauce, not too much. Scrumptious! The pumpkin soup was made from fresh pumpkin. Yum! My co-worker also enjoyed the burger. She got a salad with quinoa. All locally grown organic foods. No thumping loud music like the college places. The chef mentioned that she would offering a black bean veggie burger that would knock our socks off. I was already barefoot. It's not a place for a fast lunch, but to savor. Highly recommended.
