I can't believe I'm only now getting around to writing a review--my husband and I have been lavishing praise on the Azure Gate for the last six months!
We went to Tucson for our honeymoon, and stayed two nights at the Azure Gate in the Saguaro Room. Unfortunately, my husband had booked our honeymoon through NWA, so we had two nights at the Loews Ventana Canyon as well--but I wish we'd stayed at the Azure Gate the whole time! It's a MUCH more personal experience than the Ventana Canyon. The grounds are GORGEOUS, and Dennis and Christine are wonderful hosts. Our breakfast was simply divine...we gushed about it for weeks afterwards. We got lots of recommendations on places to hike from Dennis and Christine, as well as good dinner reservations. If you go to Tucson, make sure you have dinner at Red Sky--it is phenomenal.
In short, we were in love with the Azure Gate, and we can't wait to return. Tucson is such an amazing place, and there is NO better place to stay than the Azure Gate.
