Micha's does what it does well, putting out south Tucson Mexican food that is delicious, fast to the table, and reasonably priced. I asked if I could have a combo plate of one red beef tamale and one green corn tamale even though it wasn't on the menu, and it was no problem. Partner on low-carb diet really enjoyed his low-carb machaca salad. Chips and salsa good.

Shredded beef tacos were very tough and chewy. Cheese enchilada was okay. Chips and salsa were decent. BUT, there was nothing really memorable about this place except for the homemade flour tortillas I bought from the man right outside the door of the restuarant. No need to even think about going back here again when there are so many other Mexican restaurants nearby.

We wanted to see if Micha's was of the same level as Rigo's since it is in the same area. We were truly disappointed. Although the food was marginal, the service was less than exemplary, the environment was just average, kind of run down, and someplace that we will pass on next time.

Micha's has been here for years and is highly respected and enjoyed in Tucson. They are known for their variety of carne seca, machaca, barbecoa, etc but all of their food is excellent. Word is that Tucson's leaders wanted Bill Clinton to eat here when in Tucson, but the Secret Service nixed it as too hard to protect -- that tells you how good Micha's is. Habla Espanol y Ingles. This is a gem of a restaurant.

First time we went to a Mexican restaurant for breakfast, and it was a good experience. They serve American- and Mexican-style breakfast selections. I had the huevos rancheros, which was so solidly-smothered with green chiles and cheese that I couldn't even see the eggs. Served on a large plate with a plentiful serving of refried beans and more cheese and a huge flour tortilla, I was more than satisfied. My husband had a breakfast burrito, which he said was great. Coffee was good, as was the service. They seemed genuinely interested in whether or not we were happy with our meal. We'd definitely go back another time for lunch or dinner if we're in the area. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and a family-owned business that goes back decades is something you don't see every day. Worth a try.
