We've been hearing about this place for a couple of years so we booked a table with a view of the sunset. Well, this turned out to be overlooking a parking lot. We then changed and went out to the patio where we enjoyed tapas and quiet conversation,
It'squite nice and service was attentive and polite.noneed to return.

Hands-Down, my most favorite restaurant in Tucson if I had to pick ONE.
Always consistent, super fresh food, fantastic patio and mountain views....also gorgeous sunsets, and sparkling city lights after dark if you sit in the front of the restaurant.
ALL TIME FAV, and it happens to be close to our neighborhood. Love love love.....

Good Italian food, great service, a welcoming atmosphere, a terrific view of Tucson from way up on Skyline Drive. What more could you ask for?

Not that we've eaten at every restaurant in Tuscon, but our recent experience is that Vivace lives up to its reputation as one of the top restaurants in Tuscon. We were pleased to be able to snag last-minute reservations over the Easter holidays and arrived to a relatively full restaurant beautifully situated in the foothills above Tuscon. We chose outdoor seating (the inside was too cold) and were glad we did as the courtyard was a spacious see/bee seen kind've place where we could still hear each other and enjoy the sunset over the mountains.

The (Italian/Northern Italian) menu was wide-ranging and creative without being too big to take in. My wife and I each enjoyed three courses each, each uniformly well-executed and delicious. The bottle/glass wine menu was well-curated, and I was especially pleased to see some not-so-common Italian birra choices as well.

My only hit was the service. The place was busy but not too busy, yet the service (both to place our initial drink order and throughout the meal) was s-l-o-w to the point of being noticeable. It wasn't like they were understaffed (at least as far as I could see) -- maybe it's just the Western style of service.

Probably the best restaurant in Tucson. The building is charming and the food is exceptional. It's an ideal special occasion restaurant yet the prices are reasonable (interesting wine glasses!).
There is a pretty little room off the entrance, seating 50, that is perfect for small gatherings ( in our case it was a baptism) and the staff is nice to work with...they provided the centerpiece too!
I just celebrated my 70th birthday with friends for lunch and family for dinner the next night!
I would happily have the pesto that comes with the warm bread for my meal, along with the stuffed mushrooms...my mouth is watering!
