This restaurant is a must when visiting Tucson. The atmosphere is quite lively and fun. It was very crowded on a Wednesday night, which is a good sign. Once seated they immediately bring you warm chips and salsa. The salsa was outstanding!!! We tried the carne seca which is what this restaurant is famous for. I found it a little dry, but it did have a distinctive taste. Our server, Randy was excellent, she kept our drinks full at all times. The only negative I could say about El Charro is the fact that flies were everywhere. I had to constantly wave them away during our entire meal. That was slightly disturbing.
