My wife selected this restaurant and she did great! The atmosphere is mexican contemporary, and beautiful. We went in without reservations and it was crowded, but not full. We sat down and were served some very nice tortilla chips and a great salsa. There are no written menus. All of the dishes are handwritten on blackboards, that the server brings to your table and explains each dish, which was good as it was too dark to read the blackboard. Single votive candles on each table.
We noticed that all of the dished being served to the surrounding tables were huge. They have a platter dish that comes with three selections of the daily specials, which we split ($27). It was fantastic! We had a braised cod dish which my wife loved, very good grilled beef with tomatoes and chilies, and the winner was a chicken breast with chilies, cilantro and almond sauce. I have never had a chicken breast as moist and delicious as this. The prices for a Mexican restaurant seem high when you walk in, but it is worth every penny (centavo!!) You must try it.....

Fantastic, daily changing menu. Broad selection options all sounded outstanding. There is a "chef's choice" option that allows diners to experience tastes of three of the menu options. We had a large party and everybody got different items. Rave reviews from everybody. Can't wait to go back

If you want a pleasant surprise try this place out. It is owned and operated by Suzana Davila. Her food will amaze your taste buds and the plates are huge. You will need a doggy bag for sure. It is located in downtown Tucson and is a local favorite

My husband and I had lunch here while we were visiting Tucson. The food was outstanding. The menu changes daily and we both had the chef's sampler- which the chef chooses three different dishes off of the menu for you to taste. The food was fresh and excellent. The service was great as well. If we return to Tucson, this restaurant will be a must.

We ordered the mystery meal - a combination of three of the chefs daily specials. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed trying each other's meal because they were different even though we both ordered the same thing! We will definitely go back. The house margarita was also outstanding and the wine list had many interesting choices.
