We take an annual road trip to Tucson with a stop in Phoenix for a Spring Training game. Last year we stayed at a value hote/motel that offered breakfast at their restaurant next door, but after reading some not so great reviews, decided to try a different hotel. We chose the TownePlace Suites because it was newly built, offered many amenities and wasn't on the "main drag" but still close to everything. The price was only a bit more than where we had previously stayed, but with the AAA discount, was a very good value. The room was great with a full kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances and everything needed to cook a meal, if you so desired. Free wi-fi and a full breakfast with a waffle maker was a plus. The only complaint we had was the eggs were highly seasoned with salt and pepper and overcooked.

Peace Family-
Thank you for staying with us during your annual Road Trip and taking the time to review us! I'm so glad you found us on TripAdvisor and decided to give us a try using the AAA discount. It is great to hear that you found the room to be suitable for your needs, and I hope you found our staff to be friendly and welcoming as well. I do apologize about how you found your eggs in the morning. If you would be so kind as to let me know what day or days of the week you ate breakfast with us I would appreciate it. This will allow me to use it as a teachable moment and hopefully correct the issue so you can better enjoy breakfast next time you are with us!

Thanks again,
Amber

This was our first trip to Tucson. The TownePlace Suites were perfect for our week-long stay. The kitchen made our trip much less expensive. We went out a few nights and then enjoyed the leftovers the rest of the time. We prefer hotels in downtown areas with many dining options we can walk to; this hotel is in more of an office park. There were many dining options within a short diving distance.

The pool area is not huge but there was always a lounge chair available.

All of the staff were always courteous and helpful directing us to attractions.

We assumed this Tucson trip would be our only visit but we enjoyed our stay so much (much credit to the hotel) that we'd consider visiting again. We'd DEFINITELY stay at the TownePlace again.

Room Tip: There isn't much of a view other than the office park so don't worry about that. We chose a north facing room to avoid late afternoon sun baking our room.

I stayed here on a weekend while in Tucson for a family wedding. The hotel is nothing special, but offers an outstanding value for the money. I love staying in fancy hotels, so when I say there's "nothing special" I simply mean the hotel itself is not a destination. Don't expect fancy artwork or luxury accommodations, but do expect fast friendly service and a welcome home feeling.

Rooms were spacious and included a kitchenette, a clean king bed, a desk, and a wall mounted flat-screen tv. Decor was contemporary but relaxed, and I felt right at home. There are many amenities but i didn't have a chance to use them. I did see a nice outdoor bbq area and outdoor seating area. Parking was free-open-lot, close to the front door and was plentiful when I was there.

Breakfast is a good but small spread... Cereals, eggs, french toast, sausage, toast, fruit, and other assorted goodies were on the menu when I was there. A great bonus add and good start to any day.

Wifi seemed to work better than average, so i was pleased about that. Two power outlets at the desk and two more on the bedside lamp.

Location was kinda in a business park area. Not much within walking distance but there is a mall and plenty of shops within a mile or two. It seems to take 20-30 to get anywhere in Tucson.

We spent four nights at this hotel. It is very conveniently located to everything all over Tucson due to its central location near Broadway & Craycroft. The hotel was clean, service was excellent, the breakfast was good though more fruit would have been nice. The breakfast buffet was not overrun by children. As a matter of fact there were very few children in the hotel. The kitchenette in the room was a nice touch.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floor away from the elevator.

We booked this the night before, from our last hotel on a multi-week road trip. I picked this hotel due to the excellent price and ratings on Tripadvisor. This is a brand new lovely place, very conveniently located. Even though mid-week, we received the weekend rate. The staff was very accomodating, the room spotless and beautiful, and we had a free lasagna dinner in the hotel, with a neat wine and beer happy hour to boot. We used the pool, warm and great after a dusty trip, and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning. All in all, an excellent venue and value.
