“Great Stay...Would stay again”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

We stayed over for one night in April and had a great stay. 4 adults in a 2 Queen room was comfortable. There was a computer desk and a couch as well. the outside view was nothing to write home about but we wanted a comfortable night's stay and that's what we got. the beds were comfy and the shower head was amazing! really good shower head. we definitely used the fridge due to our food allergies. they were a few minor maintenance items and the front desk was very happy we let them know about them. staff was friendly. breakfast was better than expected. for an expanded continental breakfast, they delivered. waffles, scrambled eggs (weekdays), hard boiled eggs all week, cereal, pastries, juices, coffee, yogurt, fruit, hot breakfast potatoes, sausage links, muffins, and bagels. We'd stay again!

"Fairly Good Value" could be added to the title - but as others have noted, not much about this property is exceptional, just acceptable overall, pretty much what you would expect from Marriott's lower tier chain. Not bad for a night, but might be a bit grim for an extended business stay - no amenities here.

I arrived around midnight after walking from the airport, and staff at front desk were very welcoming and helpful at check-in. The facility in general is a little worn around the edges, but nothing serious. My room on the third floor was spartan and acceptably clean. Somewhat odd assortment of furnishings in the room -- imagine cast-offs from another hotel (?) -- but functional enough. Property was very quiet, perhaps a function of the late hour I arrived.

Breakfast offerings in the lobby included a decent combination of cold cereals, fruit, yogurt, waffle makings, and scambled eggs and sausage.

Overall, nice hotel for the price and location. It was so close to the airport which was good when you are tired from flying. Front desk man was friendly.

Rooms were clean. No issues.

Would stay here again

Overall, no complaints. The hotel can use a renovation/remodeling, but is okay as is. I didn't have any cleanliness or equipment complaints. The bathroom is small. Fresh cookies were available at the front desk when I returned after dinner so I was happy I didn't order dessert at the restaurant. Breakfast was above average but not frequently refreshed. Great location for the Tucson Airport.

The hotel is literally within walking distance from the airport. The shuttle to pick/drop you does not have the hotel logo on it, so keep that in mind when you are waiting for it.

The room felt a little old and the bathroom could've been cleaner.

The staff was friendly.

My wife enjoyed the hot breakfast - they seemed to have a good spread.

My rating is not higher only because you need to drive a good distance to get to any place for anything other the airport. Also, it felt a little older than other Fairfields I've stayed at.

Tucson Airport Hotel, The Fairfield Inn

If you land in Tucson's airport late in the evening and need a hotel, there is a kiosk just before the street exit where you can book a hotel via phone and at the same time arrange for hotel shuttle pickup.
Just beside the kiosk there is a book rack with hotel promotion flyers that can save you money.

(Hotelcoupons.com, also online)

One great value is the Fairfield Inn by Marriot located at 6955 South Tucson Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85756, just a few blocks from the terminal entrance.
On a recent October trip I arrived at the airport late in the evening and found the coupon for the Fairfield offering a room for 62 USD. (usual price around $90)
Within minutes the hotel shuttle picked me up and before long I was shown to an immaculate and spacious room at the Fairfield.

The non-smoking hotel (designated smoking space) offers rooms with large flat panel cable TV, free WiFi, writing desk, spacious bathroom, and in-room refrigerator and bar.
The hotel offers a 24-hour, extremely helpful front desk, a lobby sitting room and restaurant, newspapers, an elevator, and safety deposit boxes.
Other hotel amenities include a fitness room, a hot tub, an indoor swimming pool open year round, an outdoor swimming pool, and a child friendly environment where all children stay free of charge when using existing beds. One extra child bed is also free to accommodate one older child or adult who stays free of charge. Children under 2 years stay free of charge in a child's crib. (not pet friendly)
There were no downside for me in this hotel and I would gladly stay again on my next flight to Tucson
