I stayed here one night in early April of this year.

I found the staff to be very nice/friendly/helpful. The young lady at the front desk allowed me to check-in a little early.

The common areas of this hotel and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were okay, but the pool could have been cleaned a bit more.

Breakfast was adequate--nothing too exciting, but they don't advertise it as such. Just a standard cold breakfast. I guess the make-yourself waffles were hot. :)

Fairly well priced--I paid $67 for the one night plus tax.

All in all, a fine place to stay.

Room Tip: Don't worry about it--the rooms are all good.

When we first arrived, although it was only about 95 degrees outside, it was almost 90 degrees in the lobby which was, in a word, shabby. Because we had just driven 450 miles, we weren't about to look for another hotel. While the staff was very helpful, after getting 5 different room "keys," it still took 3 or 4 tries (even with the houskeeping staff's help) to get into our room. When we went to put water bottles in the refrigerator, one of the legs was missing such that had a small child opened the door, it would have fallen on him or her. Another major distraction was that the permanently installed, large mirror in the roomwas crooked and we felt like we were in a fun house. Also, the overstuffed easy chair's arms were at shoulder level making it almost impossible to read a book comfortably. And finally, the norm now for most hotels is a hot breakfast. In their defense, they did have a waffle maker that worked.

i stayed here with an exceptional rate from expedia, for 2 nights. i thought that everything about the motel was excellent. it's not in a bad area- the area is mainly commercial, with restaurants, other motels, stores, etc. it is 2 blocks from the interstate- convenient yet far enough away that you don't hear traffic noise. just west of the interstate, going westbound on grant road, look for the ihop and super 8 signs- the comfort inn is behind the super 8. the check-in person was very professional and polite and granted my room request- 3rd floor with a beautiful mountain view. the room was large, comfortable, had 2 queen beds, 99 channel tv, microwave, refridgerator. free wifi and a computer in the lobby for guest use also. bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. breakfast was excellent: very good waffles, cereal, juices, yogurt, toast, oranges, coffee- plenty of everything. free usa today newspapers. a quiet, safe, comfortable motel with good service. only negative thing i could say is that the heater was rather useless, but the roomstayed warm w/o it.

I stayed at their northern Tucson hotel last year. This year, I was able to get a good rate for the Gem show at this one (about 12 miles closer into town.) Again, it served its purpose to a T, AND it was so much closer to the action. I never utilize these breakfasts so I can't comment, but overall, it was perfect for what I wanted.

The room was large, clean and a value. We had been traveling for a week and depending upon motels' provided breakfast fixings. This motel we stayed in for two nights and both mornings we found the breakfast makings to be mostly "not there". The lady in charge always had bananas stocked, but that was about it. Also, there seemed to be more staff member "friend's vehicles" parked at the front door than arriving guests. If you skip the breakfast, this place nice.

We stayed two nights at this CI [grant]. We got a good rate through sam's club, but did notice cheaper rates at hotels nearby. Of course those probably don't include breakfast. Unfortunetly, the breakfast here was dissappointing. The first morning: only a couple of over-ripe bananas, an apple, nice array of bagels, bread, yogurt and such and waffle batter that was too thin to make decent waffles. We made due, but that night mentioned the lack of proper attention to the front desk. The next morning, a very nice array of muffins and fresh fruit. But still no syrup put out and the batter was even thinner! When poured on the iron it just created a billow of steam and a big mess. The front desk (same as the night before) made more mix. It was now way too thick, but we made due. On a positive note, they have lemonade and coffee throughout the day; a nice touch of hospitality.
The room was nice and comfortable. It's triple-sheeted bed was as cozy as any nicer hotel I've stayed. Our room had a bad mold growing on the wall which could upset some's breathing, but we are from FL and knew it wouldn't bother us. We did mention it at check-out as well as a few other glitches like the pool lock "sticking".
The staff was friendly, but we have to wonder if any are dedicated to going out of their way to make sure things are right, like being able to add water to a dry waffle mix or making sure the OJ box isn't totally empty when the first guest arrives for b'fast.
Overall, we do like the value of comfort inns and am dissapointed that this did not meet the chain's standards. I sincerely hope the reviews get better from here as this could be a nice property. If I knew these small issues were corrected, I would stay again.
