One of the most beautiful walks, jogs, or runs you could take...work working into you schedule. If you like exercise, go early 5:00-5:30 AM....take bottle of water, cap, and sunglasses. This time of year the water falls are running and the the further you go the more beautiful the canyon walls scenery is....whether you go a mile or 7...

Great spot for hiking. The main trail is a paved, gradual uphill. Good for morning runs in the summer. Beautiful views of the city!

You can hike up and down or do what we did: ride the tram up and hike down. Or take tram both ways.myou can stop along the way and catch the next tram. We always take visitors here. But beware, with spring floods and monsoons in the summer, you might not be ale to do this!

Lots of walking on this hike, make sure to bring water with you as you will need it. Also bring some crackers as you might need something once you get to the top. Lots of wildlife to see, although be cautious as we did see a couple rattlesnakes and a couple other snakes as well. We also saw lots of different birds and tiny frogs closer to the water. A little bit more difficult of a hike once you get closer to the water as you walk along rocks and have to cross them to get across water. Make sure to wear steady shoes and be careful as it can be slick if it is raining when you hike. Overall a pretty experience.

I have never been to Sabino Canyon that the water is not running...of course sometimes it is more than other times, but this is always a refreshing oasis. The tram makes it easy for those who are restricted in their activity level, or you can hike to your heart's content.
