This is the place that is photographed often for Natl Geo and AZ Hwys. You can pay for the tram that leaves every 20 min or so that does a circuit to pick you up when you are done. All of the stops are great-most with places to climb around granite boulders and maybe even see some water flowing from the mountains above. Lots of different routes to accomodate avid hikers and novices. You must get a parking pass or they will ticket you. (available in the gift shop building). Good facilities.

This attraction was lots of fun and our driver/guide was very knowlegable but not boring. The scenery and history in Arizona is amazing. Open seating dress warm if in Feb.

It's a place you need several visits to do all the trails. We went there for the 3rd time recently and enjoyed it again. We went to Bear Canyon .....beautiful cactus/mountain scenery.

You can hike the trails, but the tram ride gets you up and back much quicker! You can get off at most stops and wait for the next tram which will be only a few minutes behind. Try to get a seat as far right or left as possible, especially if you are taking pictures!

The tram is a bit pricey (after paying the $5 to park also) and they SHOULD offer a senior discount, but it's such a lovely place. Take the tram up, take it back down to stop 8 and then walk the few miles down-it's quite lovely.
