This is an extensive personal collection plus some additions of miniatures and doll houses from around the world. Highly advise taking the docent-led tour.

You don't have to be a fan of miniatures to enjoy this delightful museum. You will find something for everyone from historical architectural designs to a winter wonderland.
In one of the rooms there is a Plexiglas floor you can stand on to view the winter scene below you, also there is tree with pockets of hidden scenes which was quite fun.

This is a very nice place to visit. It starts with the interesting door that you open to enter the museum. Most of the items on display are from the personal collection of 1 person. I am not big on miniatures, but enjoyed the wide variety and the attention to detail.

This museum is truly delightful and wondrous! Plan on spending at least two hours to see everything, there is so much detail it's a wonder to behold, each one so different. One masterpiece of a dollhouse took 30 years to construct. Depicting rooms from royal European palaces in the Rococo style of 18th century France. Loads of Mischief Pub is a Tudor style building based upon an inn within the village of Lacock in England's picturesque Cotswolds region, Erte Tribute is a room that was designed as a tribute to Russian born Parisian designer Erte. Just Suits, is a house that was made from Wooden cigar boxes this elaborate house was constructed sometime around 1900, I could go on and on, but you must see it for yourself. There is a Snow Village under Glass. The lighted buildings and accessories are hand crafted using a 60 step process.

This museum can hold the interest of both adults and children. The exhibits chronicle the history of miniatures from their use as catalogs of home contents in years gone by to doll houses of today and to the salesman's wares to children's delights. The detail and the exploration of techniques used to produce these miniatures are well represented. The layout of the museum is well thought out and leads you from one area to the next easily. Worth a visit.
