We camped at Catalina State Park for 4 nights and had a blast! Hiking, bird watching and just hanging out at the campsite. Great State Park! Arizona has several State Parks and every one is just as good as the last. One more reason to visit Arizona. Go!!!!

Lots of well-marked trails and great views of the Sonoran Desert and the surrounding mountains. Hikes and Trails were easy to follow and not too strenuous. Go early - even in April temperatures were climbing into the 90s by mid-morning.

If you are new to Tucson, this place will marvel you with the scenic routes and trails. If you are accustomed to Tucson, this place will marvel you every time you visit it. The cacti, the flowers, the wildlife is rich. Perfect to get away from your busy schedule and to connect with nature. I go there every time I can. It is easy to get to. Sunsets are stunning!

This area may get a bit crowded on nice sunny days. The trails gets a tight when people are coming from each direction.
