Description: Cielos at Lodge on the Desert offers one of the best dining options in Southern Arizona. Dine on contemporary seasonal cuisine that pays tribute to Southwest ingredients, crafted by Executive Chef David Solorzano. Complemented by classic craft cocktails featuring local spirits and a delectable wine list, Cielos is the perfect place for a romantic night out or a casual happy hour with friends. The intimate space is framed with floor-to-ceiling windows and overlooks a spacious secluded Saltillo-tiled outdoor private patio featuring bistro string lighting, a four-sided, tiled fireplace for optimal year-round al fresco dining. Cielos and its bar both reflect a genuine, richly authentic Southern Arizona historic charm and ambience including rough-hewn artist-design hand-painted wood beams, Mexican tin chandeliers, floating potted plants and shade sails.

There are many choices in Tucson. It is a city for food lovers. But, that being said, as a solo traveler, I pay attention to many small details that might g unnoticed if you're with a group or dining as a couple. First of all, the food s top notch. There is a diverse and interesting menu, obviously developed by a top chef with fresh ingredients and gluten-free options. Loved the choices and a good value. But what made this place special and allowed it to rise above the competition was the impeccable service and attention to the customer as someone valued. As a solo traveler, I was checked on often, offered my choice of table, and visited twice by the manager to see if I needed anything. The food I ordered, the salmon dish, was just perfectly cooked. There was great attention to details, the plating for one, the choice of accompanying sides. The atmosphere was relaxing, slow paced and, in every way made for a really enjoyable fine dining experience. Do go. You will not be disappointed.

This facility and the staff are truly amazing! Best server/bartender EVER is Jerry Lohrentz . . . Professional, friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and charismatic. We had a large
group and Jerry took such great care of us! He made the week for us.

The staff understands gluten intolerance for the most part and the standard menu has many dishes clearly indicating GF. They are not the only restaurant doing this, but to do it with standouts like Maple-Glazed Duck Breast and Truffle Risotto or Blue Corn Tamales is a treat. The bar has equally eclectic and well executed food as well as unique drink options. Even if you don't stay at the lodge, I highly recommend the restaurant and bar.

We brought some out of town clients for lunch because Lodge regularly offers locally sourced food with southwestern flair. We ate on the patio, the food was delicious (the side of fruit with one sandwich was stunning!), they were out of the green tea agave lemonade but the desert flower tea was given race reviews and my prickly pear lemonade was excellent! It was an excellent choice for lunch and our clients said they will be back.
