The visitor center is stocked with educational exhibits and materials. It has a great jr ranger program! The hikes that fan out from there range from easy to hard, but most are easy-moderate and can be done in 1-2 hours. Take water! The views of the city from some points on the trails is worth a hike itself! These mountains get snow on them sometimes, but it does not last long.

This is a gorgeous Saquaro cactus drive worth your time taking. Stop at the Visitor's Center for a short video about the area.

We headed here and stopped at Gates Pass to watch the sunset. Even though we arrived, 20 minutes before the sunset, we were not early enough to hike to a good vantage point. We are going back tomorrow, this time an hour early, to get a great view. If you are looking for some great sunset pictures, this is the place.

Tucson Mountain Park has awesome views of the Saguaro Cactus and Desert Plants. There are loads of wonderful trails to see the beauty of this Park. It is smaller than the National Saguaro Parks (East and West), however it is worth seeing. Local's from Tucson indicate the upper trails are the best vantage points for sunsets.
