“A small gem of plant info and excellent dining too.”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

Come and learn about native desert plants and stay for lunch. The menu is fresh and varied and the service is personal. Evening presentations are a lot of fun and well attended so get reservations early.

“Great park in Tucson”
Reviewed January 17, 2012

A nice botanical garden tucked away in Tucson.

Docents are very helpful and there are several walking tours. There are also learning stations set up a different times.

Trails are well marked and many plants labeled. Saw a fair bit of wildlife including hummingbirds on a nest with young.

Very nice gift shop.

Have visited restauarant several times and food is always very good. Very nice patio in good weather.

Staff all very pleasant and helpful

“Nice Urban Desert Landscape”
Reviewed January 16, 2012

Tohono Chul does a nice job of presenting Sonoran Desert landscape plants in an urban environment. The trails are nice adn the plants well-marked. Various areas focus on different microclimates. They have very good educational programs and the docents are quite knowledgeable and helpful. The tea house gargen is a geat place to have lunch when the weather is nice, especially in the spring, though I think it's kind of overpriced. It's not the Sonoran Desert Museum, but it's close and presented well.
