“A GEM AMONG THE CACTI”
Reviewed January 13, 2012

This park is a quiet piece of heaven in the middle of a busy area. Not far from Tucson it offers a respite from everyday life. One can stroll on the lovely trails through the natural flora of the desert or have an excellent lunch at the "tea room". Situated in the middle of the gardens is a lovely outdoor restaurant (there is an indoor section as well) with a delightful menu of southwestern cuisine. This is a Native American Indian enterprise that allows alcohol to be served with the food. The craft shop contains an array of southwestern art worth taking a peek at.

Great garden dedicated to mostly native plants. Lovely tea garden. Great place for breakfast while watching hummingbirds.

“Super docents, super programs”
Reviewed December 31, 2011

Something for everyone here. For a brisk walk go to the back trail behind the garden. It's 1/2 mile and worth several laps. Wonderful art galleries attract quality work, shows change monthly. Music programs presented in a lovely outdoor stage are top notch but sell out quickly.

“Good food, nice park”
Reviewed December 30, 2011

The food is great, and the setting unique. This is a great spot for breakfast and high tea, but don't miss out on the flowers and gardens either.
