My husband and I were lucky enough to have a suite in this beautiful hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a great view, overlooking a gorgeous pool! They had plenty of pillows, which was nice because I always need 3-4 just for myself! A very nice hotel for the price! Staff were very friendly.

I recently had to stay twice at this hotel in the past 2 months on road trips and both times were excellent experiences. The most recent trip was due to the passing of my father so on the way back from Texas we decided to stop by here again as our last experience was a good one. This time however John the manager went out of his way to accommodate us. He allowed us an earlier check in time and later check out time combined with what felt like sincere compassion for our situation making life coming back home just a little bit easier for me and my family. I just wanted to thank John for going above and beyond and making us feel welcome. We are now truly fans of Holiday Inn or at the very least the one John happens to run. Thanks again John.

I had a brief stay here while going across states for the holidays. The rain and dark roads had won, we needed sleep. I used my trip a and got a good rate for the room. Parking was right out front and free, there were some decent restaurants in the parking lot. There were at least two gas stations nearby and some fast food options right off the freeway. Our room was clean, comfortable and there was a complimentary breakfast, coffee and tea. This was a good restful place for a road trip. although it was late when we checked in, the lights were on and the front desk was alert for new guest.

If you have come to Tucson for winter cycle training, this is a great place to stay. You can ride the Gates Pass /McCain Loop from the hotel, and get 32 miles and 3000 feet of climbing; a great way to start the day. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and know the area very well. The rooms are large enough for two people, a bike box, and your bike. There is also a mini fridge. Breakfast is included with the room; however it is the basic (standard), Holiday Inn Express fair, and fruit is a bit lacking. You may want to consider going to the IHOP, a 2 minute walk to the West Grant Road location. There is a Safeway (5 min by car), and many dining options within a 15 minute drive.

Room Tip: 1st floor rooms are easy access if you have a lot of stuff.

Just visiting Tucson for one night and this was a good choice. We are members of the "executive club". I think that's the name, so we were upgraded to a great room. We needed a couple of things and the front desk was quick to bring them right up. Beds were comfy and the rooms were quiet. The constant coffee and fresh fruit in the lobby is a great touch!
The breakfast was a disappointment though. I would have rather have fewer choices done well for example a good selection of fruit, croissants and coffee over the cheesy eggs, microwaved sausage and a partially working toaster. The juice selection was good and the fresh pancakes a hit with the kids.
We would stay here again when in Tucson.

Having stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh a couple of times, this one was a bit of a disappointment. The room was better - being newer. However it was light on the little extras that the Edinburgh one had, and we had an executive room. The bed was very comfortable with great pillows. Breakfast was awful. All microwaved prepackaged food. Cheese omelettes were sickly and the sweet buns were very sweet. Probably the best bit was the cereals and pancakes. We probably should have gone to the IHOP next door.

I never passed a staff member without them giving me a big smile and a sincere hello. Stayed in one of the suites. The room was very clean. Hot cinnamon rolls, at breakfast, helped to start the day off just right! They have an automatic pancake machine that generates 2 pretty tasty pancakes. I just wished that they had offered potatoes and that salsa had been available for the eggs. Since the hotel is right off the expressway, and not too far from downtown, it's a convenient place to stay in Tucson
