My partner and I chose Westward Look for a 3 day stacation. The grounds and main building are lovely, but our room was definitely not 4-star quality. We were in room 332 which is a Starazer "suite". Suite is a misnomer because it was 2 rooms that had been converted. Lots of space, but not luxurious at all. Poorly lghted...in suite dining table had no overhead lighting. While the room was spacious, it was mostly wasted space. Bathroom layout is poor...to turn on the shower you must step in first. There is no means of adjusting the direction of the showerhead to avoid getting a full dose of cold water when turning on the shower.
About 90% of the TV channels were not working. I found this to be a property-wide problem when I called the front desk to inquire.
The bed was not uncomfortable once you got in to it, but being 5'4" the bed was entirely too tall to get either in or out of safely. Additionally, even though it is quite chilly this week in Tucson, it would never get cold enough here (we are from the area) to warrent the excessively heavy duvet!
Also didn't expect a flight of stairs from the at-room parking space to get down to the room door.
Ordered room service for dinner. It arrived in a timely manner and the order was correct, BUT entree (griddled shrmp) made me ill.
We had planned a 3-night say, but checked out after the first night. Defnitely not worth the $500 plus a night we were paying. A great disappointment. We won't go back and recommend the property to friends.
