“Well worth it, esp if you have little boys of any age!”

Attraction details
Owner description: Be amazed at one of the world's largest aircraft collections: including 2+ hangars of World War II planes, supersonic spyplanes, the world's smallest bi-plane, plus many other unique private, military and commercial air & spacecraft documenting the evolution of flight. Friendly docents augment your visit. Only Pima Air & Space offers the bus tour of the "Boneyard"/AMARG (M-F only, no holidays) plus offers its own tram tour of the museum's 80 acres of one-of-a kind planes daily (additional fees). You can actually touch "aviation history" including "Freedom One" (that flew the American 444-days-in-Iran hostages home), presidential crafts, planes that launched astronauts, delivered life-saving food/fuel, etc. and others with wingspans the length of a football field... Ogle helicopters, MiGs, an Oscar, a rare German buzz bomb, a moon rock and much more. 300 aircraft, 80 acres, 5 indoor air-cooled hangars. Just plane awesome!

“Well worth it, esp if you have little boys of any age!”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

A great facility that displays aircraft of all ages and you can tramp all over them! We took the grandkids (including a grand-daughter, I hasten to add) when they were here for Christmas and the place captured their imaginations like few other experiences. It remains fresh and interesting on subsequent trips. Recommend it.

“This is a Tucson treasure.”

This is a diamond in the rough. Everyone will love it. I suggest 9+ for age. Our grandsons didn't want to leave. The docents are wonderful and really added to the trip.

“Nice for history buffs”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We have been twice and enjoyed it both times. Being x-military I really enjoyed it. My wife enjoyed her single visit but once was enough for her. I will go again when we are back in the area. A bus with a guide will carry you around and you can get off that bus and back on the next one at several places.

“AWSOME”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

The term "awsome" is very over used in my opinion. That said, this place is awsome. The motorized tour is a must. Pete sharing his knowledge was very helpful. At least 3 hours is needed.
