Beautiful historic buildings, preservation under way so it was neat to see the old next to the preserved. Knowledgeable docent lead tours on the hour.

This is an old but well maintained Mission 15 min. outside of Tucson city. The exterior of the building is beautiful & the inside of it is exquisite. My favorite attraction in Tucson.

The mission San Xavier is definitely a must visit when in the Tucson vicinity. This is a lovely mission and volunteers give guided tours daily. The weather was a bit chilly however it did not distract from the tour.
After your tour be sure to stop at Native American food booth and order the fry bread. So yummy.

What a wonderful setting for this Mission, the grounds are beautifully kept and lots of easy parking. It was a Sunday and busy when we visited and we were able to pop in to gaze in wonder at the interior between services. Also a very nice and reasonably priced gift shop on the premises.

Outside the mission shows its Moorish influence, but the inside is not to be missed. It has been nicely restored, and taking a docent tour will fill you in on the details. Don’t miss the fry bread with honey outside, fried to order.
