This is one of my favorite things to do in Tucson. It's great for the kids to experience a zoo that has animals other than elephants and giraffes. It is all outside so take your water and hats, the desert can be intense!

My family, including two teenagers, all enjoyed this very much. It was well worth the easy drive from Phoenix to Tucson. We wanted to experience more of the desert and this "museum" truly delivered. It's 90% outdoors with easy walks. We recommend arriving early for the raptor show so you can get close up views of the birds.

Very nice and well laid out. Very informative and the raptor exhibition was great. I hate the fact I have to say 50 characters.

Very nice walking "museum" with walking paths through various native landscapes and native animals to match.

Not your typical museum. This sancuary is incredibly well laid out and facinating. We were there for nearly 5 hours enjoying the amazing flora and fauna. The raptor demonstration was the icing on the cake. Get there for the early demo, as the afternoon one is far busier.
Get up close, to a degree, to a Gila Monster, Black-tailed Rattlesnake, humming birds, and tons of other desert-dwellers.
Great food at the on-site restaurants, as well.
A highlight of this trip to the desert!
