Wonderful "museum" is really more of a zoo and botanical garden, Nicely educational displays helps you learn more about the area. And Raptor Flight demonstration was truly amazing! Animals displayed in natural habitats with only a few that looked like they needed more room. The Ocotillo full-service restaurant is a wonderful place to enjoy a tasty lunch during the visit. Adults, teens, kids alike could enjoy a visit.

Well worth the time. Plan on at least half a day. We especially enjoyed the raptor flights, but it was all very interesting. The staff and docents were outgoing, informative and enthusiastic.

We went to Tucson to visit my sister for Christmas. We went out on Christmas eve and it was a perfect day. Not to hot not to cold. The price seemed a little steep to me but the kids loved it. They did the track books and loves looking for and finding all the stamps. The raptor free flight is a must see. How cool to have the birds flying so close to your head. The cave that they made is really well done. We ended up spending a lot more time there than we thought we would and the drive was pretty too.

Want to get very very close to a furry, cuddly big spider? Duck as the raptors swoop over your head during freeding frenzy? Try to find where the snakes are coiled and waiting? This mainly outdoor museum requires a lot of time to fully explore, so leave yourself a lot of time. In addition to all of the many exhibits, volunteers stage demonstrations throughout the venue. This when you might be allowed to pet the spiders. It's pain free education for the whole family; kids will have so much fun they won't even know it's called education. Best museum I've ever visited; we go back on every trip south. Check out the website to print off entrance discount coupons and be sure to stay for the raptor shows at 10 and 2.
