“Great outdoor and indoor museum - could have stayed longer!”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

The value of the entry for my daughter and I far exceeded my expectation. We allotted 3-1/2 hours thinking it was enough. But we had to skip several exhibits including the desert walk (recommended time is 1/2 hour).
We knew to bring water, and were glad there were water fountains located in strategic locations.
If it had been any hotter and sunnier (!) it would have been difficult to stay outside longer. Wear hats and sunscreen. The bathrooms at the museum have sunscreen if you forget and there are some shady spots for breaks.
Don't miss the following exhibits: Burrowing owls and snakes; Life on the Rocks; Cat Canyon; Walk-in Aviary, Cactus Garden; Hummingbirds.

“Great for kids”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

Learn about the desert and its inhabitants. Our kids learned the names of the different cactus and hated the snakes. Girls?! Plus you can make a day of it and visit Old Tucson.
