“Learn a little”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2012

Expect to learn a little when you visit this beautiful museum. The birds and animals of the desert are in full display with a handy keeper to answer any & all questions. They care very well for the creatures in their care and strive to show them in the most natural settings. A truly enjoyable experience for all ages.
And best of all....I bet you learn a little!

“A New Appreciation for the Desert!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2012

We visited here as an alternative to the Phoenix Zoo (which we love!), and we were not disappointed. There are enough animals to satisfy the zoo urge, and the plant life is amazing. The kids had a great time trying to identify different types of cactus. Not to miss: hummingbird aviary and the raptor free flight show. Make sure you arrive early for the raptor free flight—it gets crowded! And hang onto your hat because those birds fly low! Great time!

“A wonderful learning (and fun!) experience for the entire family!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2012

From a live rattlesnake that crossed our path 10 feet away, to raptors that flew free yet under control above our heads, this walking outdoor museum blew us away. Specific areas for butterflies, an aviary, hummingbirds, a cacti garden, desert animals and a minerals and caving exploration wing were a nice and thorough touch. Awesome!
