“Very Good Chinese Buffet restaurant and amazing low price”
Reviewed June 9, 2008

I found this restaurant as we entered north Tucson on Ina Road. My buddy and I were visiting for 5 nights. We ate at New China twice.

Four starts because the restaurant is years old (on one hand a good sign since restaurants need a strong following to survive many years) so that furnishings show their age. Forget new glitzy restaurant. On the other hand this is a large restaurant with many tables and comfy booths.

First off, I must mention their amazing low price,,,,, just $7.95 for dinner. As for service....it was 40 minutes to closing when few if any dishes are renewed. Despite this, when they ran out of my favorite BBQ spare ribs a young waitress went into the kitchen and five minutes later appeared with a fresh albeit small batch of ribs.

With like 50-80 dishes to choose from even my vegetarian buddy gave the restaurant high marks. He had salmon, veggies, noodles, stuffed broiled mushrooms, oodles of salad and much fresh fruit. If a dish is too greasy well that's the benefit of a buffet....you move on to a dish that does it for you. Soup was yummy and all in all super value and good to very good buffet offerings. They even offered a few sushi dishes. There are six to eight islands of food and many, many choices.

Pros: Variety, heplful staff, good to very good dishes and awesome low price

Cons: It's a buffet folks....do not expect the glitz of a high priced restuarant. Otherwise no complaints.
