“What a cheesy waste of time and money!”
Reviewed April 9, 2010

Cheesy attractions and shows, a silly miniature train ride, dilapitated buildings. As a fan of the old west movies, we were very disappointed. It's expensive to get in, and then to see a silly, staged gunfight, a ridiculous can-can dance in the saloon, and a girl with a whip that couldn't get it to whip!!! Don't waste your time and money.

“A Must See”
Reviewed April 2, 2010

If you enjoyed the old westerns you must visit the Old Tucson Studios. There were numerous movies shot at this location. It is clean, well kept and the staff does a great job. The skits are entertaining and the BBQ and ice cream are really good, but the "must do" while there is the "Historic Guided Tour", without this tour you can not appreciate everything you are seeing. The guide was wonderful, so informative, in fact everyone there seems to love what they do. It is a must for all western movie fans.

“Old Tucson studios ~ February 2010”
Reviewed February 24, 2010

We visited on a Monday and it was open , all of it. It was a bit over priced but I'll tell you my 50 something husband was big eyed and like a kid in a candy store. Have grown up when he did westerns were everything to him especially John Wayne. I enjoyed it too although the weather was not great..I know we would have had More fun on a warmer day . All in all if you are expecting them to actually be filming a movie I can see where you might be disappointed. It is exactly what I thought it would be -- all movie making is, is fantasy it is not going to look like a real town. The stories were great too, The guide is wonderful!
It was fun.

“You really need to enjoy Western type movies to appreciate this place”
Reviewed January 2, 2010

It was neat for my 9 year old to see a western type town. The tour was good, the comedy show and stunt show were also entertaining. The tour leader only told us about what movie, what actor and what year every movie was made there. Not much else. The working stage coach was neat. If it was warmer we may have gone horse back riding. It's kind of fun to see for a few hours.
