This place has one of the most dramatic locations in Lubec. It is in a former warehouse that is built into the cliff overlooking Johnson's Bay, and there are spectacular sunsets for the viewing on most nights. The food is decent but not really standout, and the service is slow, even when the place is nearly empty. This is not a fault of the wait staff; the kitchen moves at a snail's pace. If just this problem could be resolved, the Inn on the Wharf's restaurant would be a great place to eat.

Restaurant hasn't been open but a year or so I think. Built over an old sardine packing house. Wonderful viw of harbor. Fresh seafood/food. Great service. Casual, as is most everything here, but a definite cut above! Visited this July and October of last year.

Good food and superb service. The girls on the wait staff are super nice and courteous! The view of the water is incredible - a wonderful view no matter where you sit.

We had breakfast at the inn. We were able to sit outside on the deck for our meal. The menu is fairly simple but covered all the basics. I ordered two eggs, over easy, toast without butter. When it came out the eggs were perfect and there was no butter on the toast! A miracle! It came with four strips of bacon, crispy crunchy home fries and a small cup of fruit (bananas and apples) topped with what tasted like homemade whip cream. I don't know what brand of bread they use for toast but it was a very hearty bread.

Hubby ordered the western omelet and he was very happy with his meal. He said that the veggies were crisp/tender and not cooked to a mush.

The only critique I have was that the service was slow but the quality of the food was well worth the wait.

And the view of the bay was priceless!
