We stopped at Monica's Chocolates on our way back to our motel (Eastland) from our visit to West Quoddy Head Light. We were overwhelmed by the choices and quality. As soon as we walked in the door, a staff member came right over to tell us about the candy, the ingredients (all fresh) and gave us several samples. The shop also carries local Maine products (jams/jellies, mustard from Eastport, etc.) and Peruvian products. We visited in July, so we didn't purchase a lot of candy (Maine was in the middle of a heat wave but we bought a box of cashew turtles (milk chocolate although there were dark and white chocolate turtles with different kinds of nuts) which we had as dessert the two nights we were in Lubec. We plan to order candy as soon as September arrives!
