The trails near the picnic area have a wooden staircase that takes you down to the surf where you can view the magnificent crashing waves. They day we went was foggy so the view of Grand Manan as blocked. The sounds and sents were refreshing as we picnicked after viewing the lighthouse. As with all State Parks we have visited in Maine they only have latreens. There is an admission to the park that is on the honor system.
