I loved the fairly flat trails we explored. The ground has a lot of peat moss and is squishy, making it easier on someone like me who has a bad back. The views are stunning. We were able to also go down to the beach for a water-side view of the lighthouse. It was a beautiful way to spend the first part of our day. The restrooms are outhouses but they don't smell bad. The picnic and grilling areas are in lush, green, mossy woodsy areas. The whole park was clean and so enjoyable!

The hiking was lovely. It's only a few miles, but you overlook the pounding surf, can see out to many of the smaller islands, walk on the rocks at low tide, great opportunities for picture-taking - all in all highly recommend. And it's a great bike ride if you are staying in Lubec or nearby.

We went in a group of 4 and spent around 2 hours here, hiking on one of the trails and then venturing down to the beach. You could see some seals swimming just off the jagged shore line here. Its been great to know that after going here we can know say that we've been the furthest point east in the continental untied states. Make sure to wear sneakers.

Make certain you go hiking there! Amazing views! Bring a camera! The hiking trails are moderate, so bring very good shoes and perhaps a hiking stick. DO NOT wear flip flops on the hike.
