Had a wonderful time at the Peacock House B&B. Sue and Dennis, the owners, were so nice. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The town is so quite. It was an easy walk to the center of town for all the restaurants. Highly recommend a stay. Short drive to Campobello.

Our thanks to Dennis and Sue for making our first experience at a B&B such an enjoyable and wonderful experience. Peacock House is so charming inside and out. Our room as well as the common areas of the house were extremely clean, comfortable and well decorated. Sue and Dennis treated us like family. We enjoyed lively conversations with them especially at breakfast time. Our two breakfasts were delicious. We are so glad that we chose to stay at Peacock House for our Lubec visit.

I've never met anyone who made me feel at home so quickly. Sue is friendly and helpful and Dennis is a great cook! I was going to Mathias Seal Island the next day and Sue fixed a bagged breakfast for me to take as I had to leave very early. We loved conversing with Sue and the other guests and she's a terrific classical piano player as well. I just wish we lived closer so we could get to know them better.

Room Tip: Look at the rooms on the web site - they are described very well. Ours had a very well designed bat...

We stayed in the Peacock Suite at the Peacock House during our 2 night stay in Lubec. This B&B is a wonderful place to stay -- the rooms are upscale, the breakfasts are wonderful and the proprietors are helpful and friendly. During our stay TS Arthur knocked out power to the whole county. Despite that the Peacock managed to provide hot coffee and a really nice breakfast that morning.

We arrived to the aroma of freshly baked cookies and a friendly host eager to show us her beautifully appointed home. Each room was designed for the comfort of guests with attention paid to the details. Our room, The Peacock Room, was thoughtfully designed and quite lovely. Sue and Dennis have truly created a wonderful B &B.

Room Tip: The Peacock Room is exceptionally large and well appointed.

My wife and I were fortunate to have stayed with Sue and Dennis Baker at The Peacock House Bed and Breakfast while visiting Lubec, Maine.

Every aspect of our stay was superb.

We were warmly greeted by Dennis when we arrived and both Sue and Dennis gave us a tour of their beautiful home.

The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated.

We stayed in the Meadow suite. It was beautifully appointed with a very comfortable king size bed, a TV, and DVD player. The room was immediately adjacent to the breakfast room and had convenient access to the outside deck.

The common rooms made us feel right at home. There was a beautiful living room with a grand piano (unfortunately we do not play), a well stocked library, and a sitting room with a rocker and comfortable couch.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of sliced fruit with yogurt, a fresh muffin, and hot entree (dutch baby, toads in the hole, or egg soufflé) cooked by Dennis We chose the early seating at 7:30 am to get an early start on the day.

Sue and Dennis were very accommodating. They provided breakfast at 7:15 am one morning so that we could catch a charter boat tour at 8 am.

Having the time to speak with Sue and Dennis and the interesting guests was the most enjoyable part of our stay. We looked forward to returning after dinner. The conversation was always lively and interesting.

Sue and Dennis are a wealth of knowledge on things to do in the Lubec area. We went to a free Summer Keys concert at a church only two blocks away. The program consisted of several classical and jazz selections performed by a superb pianist. There was delicious food provided by the local residents at intermission. I would recommend consulting the Summer Keys website for their schedule.

Our location was very convenient to Campobello Island and the FDR cottage, as well as West Quoddy Head Light, and Quoddy State Park.

Sue and Dennis are sincere, genuine people.

I would heartily recommend staying at the Peacock House to enjoy their company and experience their amazing hospitality.
