Description: Established in 1998, Gracie’s was founded with a vision to offer fine food and personal attention to all. Started on Providence’s Federal Hill, Gracie’s quickly outgrew its 30-seat location and moved to the Downcity Theater District in 2005. The new space offers a cozy wine room, a stunning private dining room and greater seating capacity. Although Gracie’s has grown in size it remains true to it’s mission -- to create a warm environment, and to surprise, excite and educate the palate.

Definitely recommend for a high end birthday celebration. Please dress up, you will feel much better. A good place to go before performance across the street.

This is an old church that was converted into a restaurant. It is a little pricey for the food and drinks, but it is worth every penny. The food we ordered was the best food I had eaten on my whole trip to portland. The ambiance of the restaurant is very unique and adds to the greatness of this restaurant. Service was typical to any restaurant of this caliber, but nothing above and beyond.

We had the five course tasting menu with wine pairings and we added an order of foie gras as well. Each course was fantastic, some on their own were just ok, but when paired with the wine were incredibly well rounded in flavour and contrast. I will say it was INCREDIBLY filling and I couldn't eat another bite towards the end. The oysters were a bit gritty except for one, one was the perfect combination of land/ocean with a salty earthy flavour that just amazed me. The attention to detail by the staff was excellent with everyone paying the utmost attention to our comfort and our meal at all times. My only complaint is the restaurant is very loud, I would have preferred it to be a bit quieter.

This was our first time at Gracie's and it didn't disappoint. Our party of 4 each did the 7 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was excellent and each was paired with a very nice choice of wine. The service was also excellent including the valet who left a sweet treat in the car as we departed. Yummy!

If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or to try something new, go to Gracie's. You won't be disappointed!

We reserved the wine cellar for our daughter's birthday. Everything was lovely, and the waiter, seemingly effortlessly, attended to our very need.
