Description: Established in 1998, Gracie’s was founded with a vision to offer fine food and personal attention to all. Started on Providence’s Federal Hill, Gracie’s quickly outgrew its 30-seat location and moved to the Downcity Theater District in 2005. The new space offers a cozy wine room, a stunning private dining room and greater seating capacity. Although Gracie’s has grown in size it remains true to it’s mission -- to create a warm environment, and to surprise, excite and educate the palate.

“Love at first sight!”
Reviewed March 13, 2013 via mobile

I'm a sucker for ambiance and little things like how the place is decorated. I fell for Gracie's the moment I stepped inside - love the star theme and the menu!

Luckily, substance backed up the style.

We chose the three course menu set - a salad or appetizer; main course; and dessert. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the duck was tender and flavorful. We were also surprised by a complimentary hors d'oeuvre, sorbet to cleanse palate, and french macarons after the dessert. The food was delicious and the service just right.

We came to Providence to tour Brown, and now I am hoping my child attends this school so that I have an excuse to visit Gracie's again.

“Great Food, Great Place”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

Enjoyed another very nice meal at Gracie's. Had the vegetable tasting entree which was delicious. It consisted of three different preparations of vegetables, each of which was unique and different, but all melded together well. Finished it off with creme brûlée which was also very good and topped off with the Gracie's cookie. The food was excellent and the service very good and knowledgable of the food and preparations. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Providence in my view.

“Much improved”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

My first review of this restaurant some 4-5 years ago was that it was overpriced and just not that great.

I have been back twice in the past six months (someone else was paying) and both times had an OUTSTANDING experience.

The prices seem more reasonable ($500 for 5 -- five apps, five entrees, three desserts, 3 cocktails, $100 bottle of wine and 20% tip). The menu is a joy - seasonal, fresh, creative. The service was impeccable.

Gracies is a terrific experience and well worth a visit when in Providence.

“Very good meal”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

Stopped by before attending a show in Downtown Providence. Ordered the tasting menu which I felt was accurately priced for what you received. Food was very good and the whole meal was timed very well. Which I feel is important. Nice meals, especially tastings should take no less than two hours.

Staff was very attentive and friendly.

We will be back.

“Had better experiences there”
Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

Went for New Year's Eve event. Spain theme seemed promising. Menu was confusing, but clear after explanation. Prices were nowhere to be found. One person in our party does not drink alcohol, yet she was charged the same price for the meal somehow. Food was good, but not as spectacular as normal menu, and DEFINITELY way more money (but I would gladly pay these prices for their normal menu). In a nutshell, I missed the old Gracie's that night. Please don't do special events again!
