We were attending a conference and this was the conference hotel. I have been to other similar conferences and this was the nicest hotel. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a corner room and it was lovely. Lots of space, big bathroom, great view, good bed, reasonable shower and quiet. Not so good was the heating/air conditioning system. We were good until a staff person decided that 67 was a better setting and we never really recovered anything reasonable after that. Even with the windows open, which takes considerable muscle, and turning off the system; it kept coming on.

We signed up for the Omni guest and received the beverage service and complimentary Wi-Fi. Both were big bonuses. They helped balance the score when the things we had asked about for our room were not in place. We did get them but it took a few tries.

The bathroom is very large, with a tub/shower combination. When they refurbish this hotel, ( not that it is needed right now) I hope they consider the longer bowl toilets. Toiletries are good, large bars of soap.

Phone calls cost .75 cents even if to hotel staff members. This was taken off at the checkout, but if you have a cell phone, you might be better to use it.

Everything in our room was clean and in good repair.

Small idiosyncrasy of the area; we could find no grocery store within reasonable walking distance; and we are walkers. This is not the hotel's fault, but worth knowing. Even though the hotel connects to a big mall there was no grocery store. It also connects to the conference center. (The conference center was also kept far too cold.)

The hotel is in a good area, and we walked nearby and felt safe.

All dealings with staff were cordial. Would use this hotel again if in the area.

Came to a conference here and my colleague's husband was sitting outside our conference room, working on his ipad when a young man grabbed his ipad and iphone and ran off. When we reported it to the hotel security, which took forever to find, he said that the table and chairs that were in the hall way right outside the hotel conference room, were actually not a part of the hotel and therefore there wasn't anything they would do. The hotel security guard seemed bothered that we had called as it was thier shift change.

I had allowed my teenagers to walk around alone, but after this, did not feel the hotel area was safe. You have to have a hotel key to use the elevator to get up to your room and this must be for security reasons as they know there are so many non-hotel guests roaming the hotel. The keys almost never worked, so you would have to constantly go back down to lobby to get a new key made.

I would not recommend this hotel. We had thought the fact that it was connected to mall and convention center was great, but after my friends husband was robbed mid-afternoon because the thief could so easilly run off into the mall, I would not stay here again.

Great location for Waterfire or any downtown activities. A little tough to get to upon arrival (watch the GPS!). Use Valet parking if you plan to "in and out." Self park, though cheaper, charges each time you reenter. Great staff - very courteous. If you have 2 double beds I hope you are sleeping along - 2 in a double is a little challenging.

I was there for a conference with my son. I am disabled and required extra help. The staff was great and went out of there way to make sure I had everything I needed. It was perfect for us because the convention center and a 150 store mall were connected by skywalks to the hotel. Since I was in a wheelchair, my son was able to push me everywhere without going outside.

Nice hotel. Very friendly staff with exception of Spa Attendent (see comments). Disappointing hot chocolate and AM complimentary beverage service. Would return for pleasure trip/FireWater, if there was a more economical package available

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! Finding the front entrance was the first problem in an unfamiliar city. When checking in ask about the elevator key cards, because there are two towers with different cards and it takes the Fonz to get them to work. Don't expect the amenities promised, like microwave or regrigerator, or internet. I supposedly got the connection but it didn't work. Be careful of the $9.99 extra fee you have to sign for to get the connection, even though they say they cancel it.

We are disappointed to read that your recent stay at our hotel started off on the wrong the foot with our error in assigning your room and then fell short of your overall expectations. We would like to offer our sincerest apologies and if you return to our hotel or any other Omni we would like to encourage you to sign up for our Select Guest Program. One of the many perks is having coffee or the beverage of your choice delivered to your room in the morning at no charge. We do appreciate your valuable comments and hope that we will have a future opportunity to provide you with a great stay.
