“Great location”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

We stayed here due to meeting other family flying in from the West for a wedding. It was good, but not the Renaissance I have met in previous travels. It was odd; no robes, we were missing a bathmat & towels seemed to be restricted. But then I visited family member room on a different floor (Concierge level) & voila bathmat, towels, robes. Hmmm... & I have a high Marriott status, interesting. Regardless our room was GREAT. Mini fridge which is always a plus. The walk through closet from the bathroom to the bedroom was neat. (why don't more hotels do this?) We could walk to the mall, Cheesecake Factory (super yum), etc. Valet was GREAT. Took great care of our cars and our wait was <10 minutes. If you would need your car multiple times during a set period of time the valet would park it up front. Breakfast was good, love the dining area, but if it's not included in your room price it's very spendy.... And no pool... We are country pool - so I did hear the highway traffic from our room (which was facing the highway).

Room Tip: Concierge level for extra bath mats, robes, etc...

Overall, great stay! I agree the staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a valet parking charge with no other parking option, but they were fast and efficient. The wifi is an annoying charge but most higher end properties do the same so do not be surprised. The rooms are not very spacious but nicely decorated. I appreciated that our carpet seemed clean...as if they had been regularly steam cleaned. No tacky feel or look. Our mattress had inner spring issues so not quite the comfortable Marriott bed standards. The shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall. I forgot to mention this to the front desk. The location is a bit difficult initially but great for a visit to the mall. It is right around the corner. It is a nice property and I would stay there again.

We were in the area for a concert at Gillette Stadium, this hotel was in a convenient location and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was professional and friendly, Temple restaurant staff included. Rooms were clean, comfortable and the bathroom is huge. The only negatives are the charges for Wifi and high priced parking, which unfortunately you get at all higher end hotels (which I'll never understand).

I stayed at this hotel while in town for a wedding. The hotel is easy to get to and it's in a great location in downtown Providence. You can step outside the hotel and it's only a 5-minute walk to the Providence Place mall and numerous restaurants. It's also right across the street from the Rhode Island state capitol building.
The hotel itself is very modern and chic. There is a huge lobby, very tastefully decorated, with lots of seating. There is also a bar and restaurant right downstairs from the lobby - also very nicely appointed. The room was clean, bathroom is huge, and bed was very comfortable.
Checking out the next morning took all of about 15 seconds and the valet brought my car very quickly.
Overall a very nice hotel with great service!

Overall, this is a nice hotel to stay. Close to the freeway and the Providence Place mall. Also close to entertainment and places to eat. Valet was super great to us. They suggested a wheel chair for my son who had broken his ankle. This came in very handy getting all of us over to the mall area.
One issue was when we checked in, the hotel had been at full capacity the night before and they had allowed a large number of late check outs. As a result there were not that many rooms open when we came to check in at 2 pm. At times the desk area was clogged up with people but they did try to move thing along.
Room size was good. Had some noisy neighbors one night ( at 2 am) which considering the cost of the hotel not sure why they were staying here?
Warning the club level is NOT open after noon on Friday all day Saturday or until 5 pm on Sunday so if staying for the weekend not an option.

Room Tip: Had a handicapped room due to my son being in a cast. The bathroom was huge and more room in the li...

My wife and I stayed here on July 12 and 13 to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The hotel was beautifully apportioned and the room was spectacular. The staff was amazing, they were able to answer any questions we had about the area were happy to help. The valet parking service was a nice touch, one less thing we needed to worry about. Hotel is within walking distance to everything in the downtown area. We were there for a Waterfire weekend, and it was a 5 minute walk to the canal. Would recommend this hotel highly to anyone.

The hotel was completely clean from top to bottom and temple was a great hidaway for cocktails and good fun. Walking distance to the mall, this hotel is a great option. Only wish i had another day to play.
