The Providence Hotel is a small boutique hotel located well, in down town Providence, close to restaurants, RISD, the shopping mall and more.
The hotel has a quaint feel with a spot for children to read and play in the lobby , a spot for the dog to lounge in the lobby and a lot of beautiful orchids throughout.
In the mornings there is a free coffee service in the lobby and in the afternoon that spot serves ice tea and home made cookies.
The restaurant serves a lovely breakfast at a very reasonable cost, with pleasant staff.
Our room was a generous size with two queen beds, large windows, a coffe maker, safe, comfortable chairs and table. The beds were very comfortable , nice linens, good pillows...very pleasant and charming decore. The room had free internet .
The bathroom was nice marble with a good mirror , bathroom, nice amenities but had two fixable issues...the marble floor was cracked and needed repair. The curtain looked lovely when up , but when lowered revealed deep staining that needed a good clean.
The staff were always polite and pleasant. The cleaning staff were very helpful ...worth noting and highlighting. Outside of the minor bathroom repairs we had just one concern, the parking rate was , in our opinion , excessive. We parked elsewhere and saved quite a bit.More
