“Love this place!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We recently redeemed a Living Social deal at Blount Clam Shack for lunch and loved it. We both had the haddock BLT and the all-you-can-eat soup bar. The sandwich was very good - one of their 3 or 4 lunch specials that came with a fountain drink, coleslaw, and fries (excellent fries, by the way). The soup bar is amazing. They had 6 soups plus bread, oyster crackers, and shaved parmesan as toppings. We especially loved the spinach feta soup! I'd go back for the soup bar alone (on of the lunch specials is 1/2 sandwich and all-you-can-eat soup bar)! The service is very quick, the employees are very friendly, the prices are reasonable and the restaurant is clean and cheerfully decorated. Since I often go to the Blount Market in Warren to buy bags of soup, I was glad to see they sell these in refrigerated cases at the Clam Shack. One added bonus for downtown Providence: they have their own parking lot so you do not have to feed a meter to eat here. I think the secret is out, though. We arrived for an early lunch and by the noon hour, the place was buzzing (fortunately, they have lots of seating). Many seem to stop by to get the soup bar to-go.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

A delicious and quick seafood restaurant. Had incredible lobster bisque and haddock BLT sandwich. Highly recommend, if you're in the area. Had a soup bar that I'd really want to try, for the next time.

“Good food in not so scenic area”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Four of us enjoyed our meals here. It is just located in not the most scenic area. This is not seafood by the water. The soup bar is different although we were there too late to try it. Parking is at a lot next door and is fenced in. Restaurant/bar across the street was doing real good the night we were there so there was a lot of activity in the area. Staff was very nice and did not rush us. Decor is fun. Go for lunch or early supper. Kid friendly.
