“it was nice but could of been better”
Reviewed August 17, 2011

The rooms were really nice, but when you check in the front desk is right near the entrance and its really uncomfortable because there isn't enough space, when I checked in I didn't mind the wait for checking in but the problem was there were lot of guest checking in and not enough room to stand.
The room was nice but I was not happy with the resturant room service, I ordered a steak, I was hopping it would come with vegetables or something extra, all I got was one piece of steak and it cost me around $35 for it.
I was happy with the security they have there, no one can come up to your floor with out swipping a key in the elevater. I was also happy with the indian girl who worked the night shift, she was really help full and made me feel secure about my car being parked up front. Over all my stay was really good!

Room Tip: don't order room service, go out and eat...

In the heart of downtown Providence (not so close to main night attractions), this hotel has friendly and efficient staffs, modern facilities and a nice comfortable room. Cleanliness seemed to be a manager priority as well. Breakfast is pretty good and free cokkies, coffe and tea are available anytime at the restaurant, although they don´t serve dinner.

We stayed here for just one night while travelling through the area, but would have happily stayed longer. Staff were really helpful and accommodating, rooms were clean and bright and location is great - really central for shops restaurants and the train station. Really nice place to visit.

We stayed here for one night at the end of a busy trip. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable although the view of the car park was disappointing. The Bathroom was spotless. All the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The $25 for valet parking seemed expensive but as strangers in town we had little choice but to use it.

My husband and I stayed here last weekend for 2 nights. We had a King corner suite room which had lots of windows and somewhat decent views. We asked for an upper floor and were given the 5th floor, higher would have been better because there would have been less street noise but overall it worked out ok for us. The room is oddly shaped so there isn't a ton of space. I think for 4 people this room would be super tight. The storage space was good for 2 people but if the sofa bed was opened there would be no way to get over to the area that had the fridge and wet bar. But again for the two of us it was fine. The room is clean and comfortable, The hotel is in a fairly good location for exploring the city. It is in the financial part of the city so on the weekend it was very quiet except for some noise from people leaving the bars in the late hours.

We did not use the valet because I saw on the Providence forum someone had posted a link for a coupon for the Central Parking garage on Pine St. that is directly behind the hotel. We paid $10/night and had in/out access. It worked out great and saved us $30.

The front desk staff were very nice and rectified a problem we had in our room quite satisfactorily.

All in all we had a good stay and would definitely return.

We were prepared for a sketchy experience given the price of the room, but it turned out to far exceed our expectations. We were given a large, very clean room. The hotel must be new as everything had a fresh feel to it and the bed was perfect.

I'm a heavy business traveler and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in downtown Providence. Definitely a great bargain. One note: valet parking is expensive but if you drive about 25 feet past the hotel driveway, you can park your car in the lot adjacent to the building yourself and save some money.
