From homemade breads to pasteries or a fine cup of coffe. This location in Rumford, RI is a great place to take a break. The staff can not do eough for the customers.

I had take-out lunch (a delicious local soppressata sandwich and local soda) twice this week while visiting a friend who runs a local business. Great service and wonderful food. Next time I definitely need to buy bread to bring home to CT!

it's a good thing it's not right around the corner as my diet plan couldn't cover going there for treats on a twice daily basis

Made the mistake of taking home (PA) a box of these pastries for my mother over Christmas and am now probably won't be allowed back in the house next time if I don't have a new box for her. Good selection of pastries and breads and haven't had a bad thing yet. According to mom, "the sticky buns are to die for..."

For the finest artisan bread in Providence this is the place. French country or sourdough (skip the baguette, it's not like Paris) to name just two of my favorites. Have them slice it or take the whole loaf to savor thick slices with a winter veggie soup. Oh, and skip the pastries. They tend to the large (read massive) size and a bit heavy on the sugar -- not that I can blame them since that's what most americans like/expect: big and sugary and lots of it.
